The 3rd Chimpanzee

Even though we are very similar to Chimps (about 98% similar), we are also radically different, clearly. How did this come about (biblical genesis story aside)? Turns out the genetic changes that allowed for the development of a fully opposable thumb, a language-capable larynx and a larger brain were the keys that gave us the advantage. But the question remains: why only us?
