KQ’s huge financial loss, the largest in Kenya’s corporate history looks to me – a former strategy director of KQ – more like the triumph of the delusion of bold & brave over conservatism and caution. In a cyclical industry which is also highly susceptible to unpredictable external events, the best strategy is a cautious and conservative one.
