You Came to Where you Have Been

You came here,

but here is where

you have always been

You have been here,

not seen, not foreseen.

Now we see your beauty

in the crown of terror

And yet, from dawn to dusk,

our beauty hides behind a mask.

You make Life, our soapy bubble, tremble in the wind

Buffeted by cold cosmic winds, it dares to float and drift

under the power of bravely borne dreams – our dearest gift.

Universe, you make us wonder: have we sinned or been sinned?
